At Ederer Hall, we believe that true partnership is built on trust, and trust requires transparency. You’re not just booking a room; you’re investing in the stability, beauty, and smooth operation of a facility that will host one of the most important days of your life.
If you’ve ever wondered where your venue fee actually goes—beyond just “renting the space”—this post is for you. We’re pulling back the curtain to show exactly how your investment sustains our space, our team, and our mission.
What Your Base Rental Fee Actually Covers
When you book Ederer Hall, your fee isn't just a number; it's a vital contribution to keeping our doors open and our space immaculate. Here is a transparent breakdown of where your investment is allocated:
The Building & Operations (Rent & NNN): This covers the physical maintenance of the facility, including essential services like HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), upkeep of the building exterior, and general repairs. This is the foundation that keeps our space beautiful and functional.
Infrastructure & Loans: The long-term costs of improvement. Your fee helps us pay off loans for the major enhancements we’ve made to the space, ensuring we can provide high-quality tables and chairs and a polished environment for every event.
Our Team: This covers the essential human effort that makes every event possible, including my salary (the owner/manager) and the required on-site staff member who is here to support you during your event.
Insurance: Peace of mind and protection. Your fee contributes to our General Liability Insurance, a non-negotiable cost that ensures the safety and compliance of the space for everyone involved.
The Required Extras: Ensuring a Safe and Polished Event
Beyond the base fee, there are only a few required fees we charge to maintain security, compliance, and our standards of cleanliness:
Front Door Attendant Charge ($300
): This is mandatory for all events where alcohol is present. This dedicated attendant monitors the entrance to ensure compliance (keeping alcohol within the venue) and prevents unauthorized guests from wandering in.
Cleaning Fee ($300): This fee covers the labor needed to clean the space after your event. (Note: This fee is waived for all full-day rentals.)
Flexibility is King: Your Optional Service Menu
After the required fees, everything else is optional. This is where your budget control truly kicks in. We offer professional, in-house services to simplify your planning, but you are never locked in.
Professional Bartending: If you provide your own alcohol (and pay the $5 corkage fee!), we require the use of our professional bartenders. We staff one bartender per $\approx 75$ guests for safety and efficiency.
Beer & Wine Bar: $65 per hour, per bartender.
Full Bar (with Liquor): $75 per hour, per bartender.
Includes ice and compostable bar cups.
Additional Staffing: Need a hand? We offer additional team members for bussing, food service assistance, or general support.
Day-Of Coordination: Keep your planning stress-free by adding on our professional coordination services.
Decorations & Floral: Custom design and floral services can be added to complete your event vision.
In-house Place Settings: We have simple place settings available for up to 150 guests for a small fee.
Building Trust, One Transaction at a Time
Our approach to pricing reflects who we are. As a business owner, I value real connection and truly wear my heart on my sleeve. I’ve found that being upfront is the only way to build that genuine connection, not just with our clients, but with the entire community.
We want you to feel empowered and informed about every dollar you spend at Ederer Hall. This level of transparency is our way of saying: we value your trust more than a hidden profit margin.
