About Ederer Hall

This place began as a promise — to save a building we fell in love with and turn it into a home for people who care about craft, celebration, and connection.

We are Brittany and Gabriel, the husband-and-wife team behind  Ederer Hall. We bring over 10 years of combined event experience to the table, yet our perspectives are uniquely complementary. On the design side, Brittany ensures that every layout breathes and every detail feels intentional, creating an atmosphere of effortless elegance. On the operational side, Gabriel’s experience as a former catering chef means he instinctively knows the logistics of a successful event flow. Together, we are committed to caring for this space—and the guests who fill it—with wholehearted hospitality.

How we found it

We didn’t set out to become venue owners. We wanted to protect a piece of the SODO neighborhood and give it a new chapter. We operated the venue under the previous leaseholders, and when they decided not to continue, it broke our hearts, but never in a million years did we think we would become the new leaseholders. Ederer Hall exists because the right people showed up at the right times: family, friends, makers, and neighbors who believed this place deserved more than being forgotten. There were investor setbacks and long nights of renovation, but every hurdle became part of the story we wanted to tell — a story of hands-on work, stubborn optimism, and a community that kept nudging us forward.

What we kept and what we added

We treated the main hall with respect and restraint. The room’s original character stayed almost entirely intact; we gave it a careful clean and added new curtains to soften sightlines and control light. The biggest investments went into the entry and the getting-ready rooms. Those spaces received the most thought and care — practical storage, comfortable seating, purposeful finishes, and small luxuries that turn a hectic morning into a calm one and make evenings feel finished.

How we run things

We believe every event should feel like yours — not ours. That’s why we’ve built Ederer Hall to be a choose-your-own-adventure kind of space. Whether you’re a seasoned planner who just needs the keys and a clean floor, or someone who wants a little more guidance along the way, we’re here to support you at whatever level feels right.

Our job is to make sure the space works for you. That means clear communication, practical logistics, and a team that knows how to stay out of the way when it’s time for you to shine. We’ll help you load in, light the room just right, and make sure your guests feel welcomed — and then we’ll step back so you can do your thing.

We’ve hosted everything from full-service weddings to DIY workshops, nonprofit fundraisers to creative pop-ups. No two events are the same, and that’s exactly how we like it.

Our values

This is a venue that favors repair over replacement, relationships over transactions, and local makers over mass-produced sameness. We prioritize sustainability through waste-conscious packages, local vendor partnerships, and choices meant to extend the life of every selection we make. We believe a venue is only valuable when it serves people well — when it supports nonprofit programs, rehearsal days, community meetings, and celebrations that matter.

An invitation

Ederer Hall is a love letter to place and people. It’s for the couple who wants a rehearsal dinner that feels intimate and honest, the nonprofit planning a day of impact, the artist staging a pop-up, and the team needing reliable weekday space. If this building speaks to you the way it did to us, come by. We’ll give you a tour, tell you some of our favorite renovation stories, and help you imagine how your event can live here. From our family to yours — welcome.
